Infiniti G37 Tail Lights

Fend off danger and make a clear statement to other drivers with bright and functional taillights for your Infiniti G37. It’s easy to find the right taillights for your Infiniti’s particular year of manufacture. Just sift through the options and select the back end illuminators that will keep your G37 looking stylish and out of harm’s way.

What types of taillights are there for Infiniti cars?

The two kinds of taillights commonly available for Infiniti vehicles are incandescent bulbs and light-emitting diodes (LEDs).

  • Incandescent bulbs are the conventional option and consist of a metallic filament encased in a glass housing. When the filament is electrified, a powerful glow is emitted. These bulbs generally last between 1,000 and 2,000 hours before burning out.
  • LEDs don’t contain any filaments and instead make use of futuristic semiconductor technology to manifest an incredibly bright beam of light. LEDs take up a minuscule amount of space, use an even smaller amount of electricity, and stay cool when running even after hours of use. The most impressive aspect of LEDs, however, is their rated lifespan: each diode theoretically lasts for 50,000 hours, meaning that you could leave your LED lights on for 5.7 years straight before running a statistical risk of burnout.
How do you install taillight assemblies in the Infiniti G37?

When upgrading to LED lights, upgrading to smoked lenses, or contending with a cracked lens, it’s often necessary to replace the taillight assemblies in your Infiniti. Replacing these critical components is easy and requires basic shop tools and about an hour of labor. While instructions may vary based on the year of manufacture, it’s highly recommended that both assemblies be replaced at the same time.

  1. Turn off the engine, disconnect the negative battery terminal, and open the trunk.
  2. Remove the plastic cover at the edge of the trunk and pick a side to start with. Remove the plastic pins to release the trunk liner. Pull the trunk liner back to reveal the taillight assembly.
  3. Use a socket wrench to remove the three bolts securing the assembly in place. Use needle nose pliers to remove the rubber nubs sticking out from the bottom of the assembly.
  4. Pull the assembly free from the vehicle and disconnect the electrical harness. Discard the assembly. Connect the electrical harness to the new assembly and insert it into the cavity.
  5. Attach the rubber nubs and bolts to the new assembly. Replace the trunk liner and repeat these steps for the other side. Replace the plastic edge cover and reconnect the battery to complete installation.
Why use smoked taillights for the Infiniti G37 Coupe?

If you prefer something different than the red glow that you see coming out of the back end of your car, then it might be time to upgrade to smoked taillights. These unique brake indicators make use of a lightly tinted film to produce a darkened and stealthy appearance.
