Motorcycle Rear Brake Light Assemblies for Harley Davidson Fatboy

Rear brake lights and their assemblies are required by law in order for you to take your Harley-Davidson Fatboy out on the road. These assemblies help to ensure that other drivers can see you when riding your bike at night, and they also help other drivers to maintain a clear driving distance between their vehicle and your motorcycle. Vehicular impact or switch failure may necessitate replacement of the assembly.

• Chrome finish: The housing and edges of the brake assemblies feature chrome. This material resists rust and corrosion, and it coordinates with the metal brake pedals and fenders on your Harley-Davidson.
• Shapes and fitments: Select from a variety of shapes, such as a Celtic cross, cats eye, rectangular with rounded edges, or round tail lights for signaling the brake lights. The covers for these assemblies feature red tinting for enhanced visibility.
• Light-emitting diode bulbs: The tail lights in the assemblies consist of light-emitting diode bulbs. These bulbs offer bright illumination so that other drivers can easily see your Harley-Davidson and take the appropriate action when you are using your brakes. The brake switch for your Harley may need to be replaced if the switch for the brake light stays on whether or not you are braking. The brake light switch may also need to be replaced if the light does not come on when you use your motorcycles brakes or if the brake lights have other problems such as flickering.

To replace the switch for the light on the rear brake of your Harley-Davidson, remove the bottom cover of the master cylinder. Use an Allen wrench to loosen the bolt on the cylinder. Push the cylinder down and out of the way. Use a flat head screwdriver to remove the female plugs from the brake switch. Turn a wrench counterclockwise to remove the switch. Put the new switch in place. Tighten the brake light switch by rotating the wrench clockwise. Reattach the plugs. Add brake fluid if it is needed. Push the master cylinder up and tighten it. Replace the master cylinders bottom cover. Finally, turn on the Harley-Davidsons engine to test the operation of the brake light switch.
