This particular version of the Air Jordan Dub Zero silhouette released onto the Jordan lineup in 2009 with a Laser Blue color scheme to honor Michael Jordan's alma mater, the University of North Carolina. A shiny black mudguard coats the toe, side panels, and heel of this release in a solid patent leather. Its heel incorporates a woven leather pattern that takes on a reptile appearance. A large overlay then coats the side panels, offering an etched white design on a black base. Laser Blue accents then adorn the inner sock liner, tongue liner, the top eyelets, the tongue's Jordan Jumpman logo, and the midsole. A black-and-white outer sole then pulls this entire UNC-inspired design together.
