The French Blue colorway debuted on the Air Jordan 9 silhouette for the first time in 2002. A white upper sets the base for this release, and textured white side panels add this AJ9's signature personality. White continues on the tongue and outer sole, while Flint Grey appears on the mudguard overlay that wraps the bottom of the upper from toe to heel. Flint Grey then carries over to the laces, heel tab, shiny midsole, and arch. French Blue accents make their way onto the eyelets, the top of the tongue, the Jordan Globe on the heel, the embroidered number 23 on the heel, and the Jordan Jumpman logo on the bottom tread. The French Blue colorway came onto the scene on May 4, 2002.
