Best one yet
This is my first "phablet", and it has been a life-changer. First off, it is not as bulky as the other phablet phones out on the market. Easily fits in my pocket, which I did not anticipate. Secondly, i can now store all my notes in one convenient place. I was skeptical on how seamless the writing capability would be, since I've always use pen and paper. But the accuracy and legibility is phenomenal. It has eliminated my need to carry around a note pad or sticky notes, and I can easily record my thoughts on the go rather than struggling to type fast enough. In addition, Samsung is offering some great promotions just for Note 8 users who sign-up for Samsung Pay (which I highly endorse). Great investment, don't hesitate to pull the trigger on getting this one.

Note 8 = Huge phone + tablet = Phablet
The Note 8 is large. The phone feels double the size of a Note 4 (it's noticably heavier, about an inch longer, half inch wider and thicker). It is not comfortable to carry in your pocket and the belt-clip-protective-carry-case is huge. Large, curved screen is very good, but will crack if dropped (so purchase an Ottorbox Defenser and a screen protector). The camera is advanced and a major upgrade over previous Notes (if you can figure out all the settings). The processor is faster, but not dramatically noticably faster than the Note 4. The battery is built-in and cannot be changed nor replaced/upgraded. If you want an easy to carry pocket phone, this is not it. While I am impressed with the technological advancements, the phone is too large, heavy and cumbersome to enjoy carrying every day.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is an awesome phone!
The only thing I don't like about this phone is the placement of the Bixby button. I love the size. The tall slender size is perfect for my small hands. My previous phone was shorter and wider. I love the stylus, as I was often pressing the letter beside the one I wanted. The ability to write on the lock screen is awesome, as well. The camera takes great pictures, and even though there is one phone that is ranked higher for its camera, all the other features of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 won me over. For me this phone is totally worth the higher cost.

Powerful with healthy emf rating.
I switched from an iPhone to a Samsung, and it was definitely an adjustment. The iPhone, like all Mac products, is super intuitive and user friendly with an elegant, refined design and user friendly features. Fortunately, finding info on the Samsung was easy and helped me find my way in setting it up. I bought it for the low emf rating -- lowest of all cell phones. The iPhone I had has the highest emf rating. So for this reason I am very happy with it and more so as I get used to it.

Galaxy Note 8 - great iphone X alternative
Great phone, though a big learning curve from iphone. Both have pluses. Texting is much better on iphone; Facial recognition is very fast, but not 3d scan so allegedly can be fooled.Fingerprint scanner is in awkward position on back. Bixby personal assistant is not as good as iphone, but they both need improvement. Some apps like attaching photos as email or text take numerous menus to get to. Pen is great - to take notes directly on screen; mark up PDF's or draw. Screen is amazingly clear and wonderful photos and 2x optical zoom.

Great Phone
I was very impressed with this phone. I switched from the Note 5 to the Note 8. It is almost a half inch longer with a bigger battery and a lot more features. Love the 64 GB storage capacity (4 time what the Note 5 had) plus you can add up to half a TB Sd card. The curved edge on the screen is pretty cool, and it has awesome video quality.

Great buy; Easy to Use
The phone is great. Unexpectedly needed to change the settings to US. Quick start directions came in English and Arabic; was able to successfully and easily migrate data and apps from old Note3 to new Note8. Did have to look up on the internet how to do stuff because the help manual (via the phone) is not available in English.

Awesome phone.
I had the S7 edge and the battery on the edge wasn't lasting but half a day. The note 8 is lasting all day and still life left.the note 8 is a big larger but still feels good in the hands. Call quality is great. The s pen is a very useful item. Overall, well worth the money.

large and thin
the phone is one of the larger phones, which we love, large screen size 6.3, very light and thin which is great. Easy to use, just simply love this phone, if it does not come with SIM card don't worry most companies like sprint give them to you for free as long as you are a current customer.

Outstanding phone. Tons of practical features.
The ability to jot down a quick note and send it somewhere is awesome. Also quick reminder notes. The photography (both stills and videos) is a joy to use. Love the large screen. Large enough to enjoy the details of videos, docs, etc., yet not so large to be cumbersome (still fits easily in my pockets).
