Another, yet honest review
I have "watched" this time piece for several years. I bought it on ebay at a great price. The set up was/is tricky. I watched youtube videos, and read the owner's manual. It is very small, printed in very small fonts. Ditto for the illistrations in the manual. The band was too large for me, so I took it to the local jeweler shop. They easily fitted it to my arm. I also asked for help setting it up. Even they had some trouble setting it up. Mind you, they sell this watch! The gentleman finally looked at a youtube video on his phone as to how to set this watch up. Once set up properly, you only have to do it once. Observations; The charging system seems to work great. (I have only had it a week.) The time is spot on, to the second. The time synch from the atomic clock in DC works great. My watch is correct, to the second! So its primary function, telling the correct time works exactly as advertised. Now to the other functions. I have not tried them out yet. The dual time function works correctly. I will grow into the rest of the functions. This watch is a digital replacement of a analog Seiko aviation watch I bought 24 years ago. It still works great. However, the band has broken, and is missing a pin. I sent it to Seiko HQ in San Francisco and they said they couldn't help me, due to lack a replacement parts for it. It is too old! That gave me the motivation to buy the Citizen watch. If it lasts 24 years, I will be a very old man. Close to 100! That said, I would recommend to anyone who wants a serious watch. You can pay much more, but you won't get more value, in my opinion. Bang for the buck, it is a winner.

Excellent Watch for the Price
I looked at 100+ watches on line for weeks and read several reviews. I found that this watch has the features that I really wanted (plus a couple I likely will never use). I especially like the day of the week indicator because, being retired, I sometimes lose track of what day it is. I also like the 24 hour dial because I take trips around the world. I haven't bought a watch since continuous calendars and solar batteries were common place, and I have found these to be fantastic features. A small detailed instruction manual was included that easily explains how to set all the features. There are also several YouTube videos that you can watch where experts and amateurs demonstrate how to set the features. Even though I keep my watch overnight on my dresser in a dark closet, it still receives a strong radio signal and precisely resets itself early each AM. The only complaint I have is that no instructions were included on how to remove links from the watch band. I almost took it to a jewelry store to have this done, which would have cost money, but then found some You Tube videos explaining how to adjust the band on this exact watch. It takes a little finesse, but I figured it out. A short instruction sheet would have been nice. Next time I might buy the titanium version of this watch, for about $70 more. While not annoyingly heavy, this watch does have a heft to it that the titanium version likely does not. And not to be overlooked, this watch simply looks classy, has nicely laid out dials, and looks like it is worth more than I paid for it!

Awesome Entry Level Watch
Awesome entry level watch. The titanium makes it super lightweight. The Small blue bands around the two outside buttons along with the time zone needle really pop on the black and chrome background. The watch is easy to read and there isn't too much going on which I believe makes a watch an eyesore. It also doesn't look to fancy which I like, because most fancy looking watches are pretty cheap. The watch doesn't scratch easily and if it does it can be polished out. Its not too big either which is great for me because I don't have the most robust wrists in the world. The watch glows bright at night. There are a lot of nice features such as the watch self corrects itself at 2:00am. You can also switch time zones quickly and easily which is sweet for traveling places. I wear this watch to my professional office job everyday as well as when I go hang out with friends and family. I have not a clue how to use the tachymeter but it looks pretty stylish on my wrist. There are a bunch of features on this watch that I am not even aware of however this watch isn't going anywhere so I have tons of time to learn. I am glad that I bought this watch instead of a cheaper one. I looked at watches for over two years before purchasing this one. I am also glad that I didn't purchase a more expensive watch, at least for now, such as an omega. I know Omega is a better watch but this one is a great everyday watch.

A good, reliable watch that does what I bought it for.
This is a very large and rather complex watch that I bought for two purposes: travel, when automatic time setting is convenient (if not exactly necessary) and to act as a control reference for my other watches, which tend to wander a bit, especially since I am very active and hard on watches. I destroy a watch a year. As for style, it is Godzilla huge; way overstated. It does attract some attention but I prefer not being noticed. Like any too big, too thick watch, it catches on my sleeves. It does come with a comfortable bracelet, is easy to read at night (I prefer H3 for tactical uses), is Eco-Drive long lasting (the battery isn't going to die on me on a trip to Lower Sandistan), the capacitor is easily replaceable and it doesn't leak in the uses I put it to. I prefer something much smaller and understated like a Promaster Tough 'Aoraki' for daily (not working) wear or a stiletto tank for white tie. Since I break watches regularly I use a Citizen Eco-Drive Chandler BM8180-03E on an 18mm SS bracelet as a throw away. Except for the rare, now collectible ones, Citizen watches are inexpensive and reliable.

My first Citizen.
I love this watch. Very stylish. I get complemented on it from my customers all the time. I have always bought cheap watches and replaced them once or twice a year. Citizen is all my brother n law would wear. He passed away about 12 years ago. About a week ago I was going threw his stuff and found his watch. A few secs in the sun and it started right up. The leather band had to be replaced (no big deal). I gave the watch to his nephew. I was so impressed I bought one and loving it. Now my thoughts on this watch. It was kinda hard getting the watch set up. The video on citizen web site is a little off you need to zero the watch before setting the time. I set the watch in the sun about 4 hours before I started messing with it. ( I felt it needed a decent charge to start with) the hands are easy to read in the dark. The face of the watch is in my mind the perfect size. So far zero complaints

Great looking and useful timepiece
I have used this watch for 3 dives and it is a great tool to have on me as i dive. The screen is clearly visible and makes sense as you're diving. the alarm is audible enough to hear underwater but the visual que is helpful as well. I like that it is not an enormous watch as some other dive computers. It is wearable out of the water and it looks great too. It charges via the sun so ensure that you charge it days in advance before a dive. Sun works the best. Leaving outside of my patio in the sun all day made great progress to give it a charge. Now its just maintainece of the charge. I maintain it at level 4 to keep it ready and will not have to take a couple of days to charge. I am glad i went with this piece. I do miss having a stop watch or chronograph. That would have made this watch a complete package for me. But other than that, i am glad i chose this as my dive computer.

Everyone needs at least one.
I own 3 other eco-drives and love them all. This model is different, and I was a bit puzzled as to setting time and date, but Citizen has official spots on YouTube - the one on the Proximity Pryzm was concise and accurate. Even though I use a flip phone and can't access the watch through Bluetooth (yet), never the less, the instructions guided me through the setting up process. Learning the watch and its functions is fun. I've also viewed spots on using one of my watches as a compass. More fun! I have used eco-drives since learning of them, I don't know, 30 years now maybe. My first spent a good deal of time wet from fly fishing catch and release. The watch case has wear from all the rugged stream-side use. I put it in a drawer for several years after I bought my second eco-drive and recently sent it in for repair for a battery. That is the ONLY problem I've had and it was my fault. Who could ask for more?

Great Looking Low Maintenance, Accurate Watch!
I believe this watch is one of the best I've ever owned. At my age that says a lot. My husband has worn a single atomic solar watch daily for 10 to 12 years with no battery or time issues whatsoever. However his is larger and bulkier even for a man's watch. Because of this I decided to try this particular watch even though it is a bit on the large size compared to most ladies' watches. I hope to get the same great use out of this watch. After removing a couple of links myself. it fits and wears well. The link removal was not much issue at all using a watch repair kit that I had to perform this task while taking only a few minutes. There are some great tutorial videos online that walks you through all the setups such as your time zone, formats, and other automatic features, as well as some for link removal. It is a great looking and feeling watch that I recommend for ladies and men as well.

Great function and style, perfect watch for business dress and casual.
I like the 2 tone look, especially the gold accents which add more luxury look to the watch. My top reasons for picking it were radio controlled to have atomic clock accuracy, Citizen's quality, and inexpensive for a designer or higher end watch. I researched the movement of the watch as my first step. I've had name brand designer watches that aren't accurate. I needed a watch that I could count on for telling time! Swiss movements and Japanese (seiko, casio, citizen) appeared similar in terms of quality and accuracy. But, Japanese movements are far less expensive. Casio's are not dressy or formal, so that left Seiko and Citizen for me. Citizen had the best options for radio controlled syncing with the atomic clock, and great pricing, and perfect styling. I was sold! I love my purchase! It's also water resistant rated for everyday showering, swimming, and snorkeling. I don't plan on testing it, but it's nice to know I don't have to worry about it around water.

Lovely, Classy, Beautiful!
This watch is beautiful. The rose gold casing, grey dial, and rose gold roman numeral markers are a nice combination. With the leather band, this watch exudes a suble class with a sporty touch. The case is larger, 35mm, not petite, but still girly. The leather band is just long enough, so it is ok for my 7 1/2" wrist. A larger wrist may find the band length uncomfortable. I really like the Ciena line of Citizen watches. The case/dial is just beautiful to me. The little spray of diamonds around the case frame the dial just perfectly, not too much. I own 2 other Cienas, one in the silver stainless steel band and the other in the rose tone stainless steel band. The watch does have the Eco-drive technology, so, no batteries neeeded. There is no date function, no MOP dial, etc.; all this watch does is tell the time, but it does so with class! I AM A FAN!
