Some car enthusiasts consider this more authentic than using aftermarket car parts.

When referring to replacement vehicle components, Chevrolet literature tends to use the terms right and left in reference to the drivers side door. Some vehicle parts actually use the terms driver and passenger side as a result of this convention.
