runs great straight out of the box. no mods needed
I am new to 3d printing and I bought an ender3 a month ago. Its a fun little hobby and the machine has taught me a lot. I haven't ran into any issues on this machine so i decided to go for the big and get the Chiron The day came when I pulled that trigger button and ordered the Chiron . immediately i received an email stating that they received my order and it'll take approximately 7-10 days for me to receive my product. I was a bit worried as there hasn't been any updates for three days. I then sent an e-mail to their customer support and a few hours later i received an update. They were putting my product together and soon as they're done testing it, i will get another notification. 3 days after i received the notification and that the product is on its way. Eagerly awaiting, I watched a few videos on set up and operation of the Chiron, it's not that different from the ender3. i tried to make some space to fit the item once it gets here. Day 8.....2 days earlier than expected, i came home with a huge box awaiting me in front of the door way. Assembly is straight forward, all tools and instructions were included, no issues here. It took me and my daughter about 2 hours to assemble it. this thing is enormous!! Go big or Go home as i always say. Set up was straight forward. I used the same process in levelling the bed as i do on the Ender3. Preheating the bed and nozzle took a bit, though this is very understandable considering the size of the printer. took a good 4 minutes to properly get it trammed. I didn't use the files that came with it for the test print, but i did go with the infamous Benchy. Benchy came out with flying colors. tested the filament runout sensor, and it does work. tested the pause and return to print and no issues at all. So at this point I was pretty confident to go ahead and print another..........lets test it's limits. Better to find out sooner than later. I am building an iron man MK85 suit and with only one roll left at my disposal I went and sliced the calves on Cura and it came to a whooping 984G and close to 5 days of printing........ Now day 4 and 17 hours into it everything is still lined up perfectly. I did slow the speed to 90% to be on the safe side and until I got some z supports. Overall impression, I'd recommend this to anyone that wants to go big and have outgrown their ender3. The Chiron so far has been very good considering I'm only two prints into this, a benchy and the life size armored lower legs of an Iron Man MK 85 suit. My advice to the ones that are hesitant if and when you get this product is to ensure that all hardware are tight and are supposed to be where they are. Mine came without issues, but i still verified before doing any prints.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !
The HARDWARE is of an incredible value, the build quality is exceptional at an incredible price considering the build volume. The moving glass build surface takes a little more desktop space, but this allows for a much more rigid an precise design than other configurations out there. The textured Anycubic Ultraglass offers incredible adhesion during the build and when the table cools, the part pop off with little effort. The dual 24V PSUs heat the bed and the print head rapidly with lots of overhead, so I would be most confident to print ABS, TPO and just about any material out there. It comes with a spare print head that you can most likely use to set up dual extrusion with very little extra parts and hassle. The color touch screen is great but the software is a little quirky, but quite adequate. Printing from computer did not work for me if the supplied cable runs anywhere near the printer (noise?). No problem, I prefer to print from SD anyway for now... The bundled slicing SOFTWARE was outdated and simply did not work. Once CURA updated, not much better. I personally detest the new CURA "pre-configured for newbies" interface with little apparent freedom and control over your prints. No problem, I simply reverted back to my favorite SLIC3R that I know and love. All in all, an outstanding deal. Paul Isabelle, Quebec City, Canada

Good LARGE 3D printer which needs minimal calibrations to get started
This is my 7th and largest FDM printer in my first year of this hobby. Yes I'm an addict. Out of the box assembly is obviously very easy. I chose to take my time an install a few optional printed modifications. (This includes X-Axis tensioner, Y-Axis tensioner, factory tool holder, upgraded spool holder that reuses factory parts, and one cable management bracket - none of these are required but I wanted to have the tensioners ready as I tuned the machine). So far I have done PID tunes, estep calibration and reduced the flow rate slightly as well as create a customized slicing profile. My first 20 hour print was a success and I'm working on it's mating piece which will take 14 hours. With some additional calibration tests, I think this will be a great printer even at the full print volume.

CR-10 Max Killer
PROS -Faster bed heating than Ender 3 -Bed adhesion works like magic on every print -noise level is normal -Consistent extrusion -Great quality prints. -Semi-auto leveling function works great, you need a little patience to dial it correctly but once you level it it will stay for several prints. -Perfect cable organization. - Perfectly flat bed surface. CONS -Poor fan duct construction, i had to print a new one. -Leadscrews need to be secured on the top in order to avoid any noise when perfoming travel moves. -Needs a longer guide tube to insert the filament into the extruder. Overall a fantastic 3D printer.
